LWML
LUTHERAN WOMEN’S MISSIONARY LEAGUE
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) was founded to help develop a greater mission awareness among women and to gather funds for mission projects not able to be funded in the LCMS budget. The vehicle for collecting these gifts (coins, quiet money or a check) is the MITE BOX, a purple and white box. Mission project/grant goals are chosen at the annual convention.
In addition to collecting Mites, Trinity’s LWML attends conventions, leadership training workshops, and rallies and retreats. We provide the LUTHERAN WOMAN’S QUARTERLY and OHIO DISTRICT EDITION (ODE) for inspirational reading and information on activities and mission grants. The LWML has program helps, Bible studies, educational, devotional and inspirational resources and materials to aid the Christian woman in her life’s walk.
Trinity’s LWML sponsors an annual breakfast with an inspirational speaker and assists with or sponsors other events to encourage fellowship among the women of Trinity.
We sponsor service projects such as the Hat and Mitten Tree for Seminarians and we collect food and clothing as needs arise.
We encourage all women at Trinity to support the LWML with her MITES and PRAYERS and to use her talents to "Serve the Lord with Gladness.”
